Course summary
If you are looking for an interesting, stimulating and challenging course, then Religious Studies is for you. The course requires you to investigate religious beliefs and explore the interplay between these beliefs and philosophical and ethical debates. Throughout the course, you are encouraged to think critically and are taught how to structure logical and coherent arguments. There is an emphasis on class discussion and independent research work that helps to develop a wide range of transferable skills, such as communication, collating and interpreting information and problem solving. Religious Studies is an academic subject which is recognised by employers and universities as being of great value.

Assessment
Component 1: Philosophy of Religion and Ethics – a written examination of three hours. Component 2: Study of Religion and Dialogues – a written examination of three hours.
