This AS/A-Level course in Psychology focuses on human behaviour and the causes behind why people behave as they do. An A-Level qualification in Psychology opens many routes to different career paths and Higher Education courses. It is especially beneficial to work within the NHS and the police as well as in the fields of teaching, counselling, nursing, and social work. There are also options to specialise in a specific area of Psychology that interests you, such as clinical psychology, health psychology, forensic psychology, or child psychology. A minimum of 6 grade 4s, including a grade 5 or above in GCSE English Language or English Literature, is required. GCSE Maths must also be at grade 4 as a minimum.
At AS-Level, you will be assessed by two end-of-year exams. Both exams will be 1 hour and 30 minutes long and consist of an array of questions, ranging from essay questions to multiple choice.
