Business Studies BTEC (Double)

Course summary

This course offers you the opportunity to study businesses in a highly practical, work‐related manner, as everything you will do is related to ‘real‐life’ business contexts. The qualification that you will gain is equivalent to 2 A‐Levels. You will learn in a largely ‘active manner’ by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations and activities. You will learn about the structure, purpose and strategies relating to various businesses and cover a broad range of business topics such as ‘marketing’, ‘recruitment’, ‘business finance’ and ‘managing a business event’. Much work is project based, using a range of internally and externally assessed assignments. There is also an exam-based unit exploring business and personal finance.
