By studying Chemistry at Range you will develop knowledge of the three major branches of Chemistry (physical, inorganic and organic) in a logical sequence of topics, progressing from GCSE through to A level. Physical Chemistry - attempts to discover the general patterns in the behaviour of matter, summarise the patterns in the form of laws and then tries to explain them by means of theories. Organic Chemistry - the study of carbon compounds, which are used to make a vast range of useful products including polymers, pharmaceuticals, and fuels. Inorganic Chemistry - the study of the remaining metallic and non-metallic elements. Chemistry is essentially a practical subject and you will expand and develop your practical skills throughout the course.
