Product Design involves learning about the design, engineering and manufacture of a range of products made from a wide variety of materials. It is a challenging course that uses new technology and encourages you to work creatively. The course allows you to experience what it is like to work on real life design projects and develop a product for a client. Throughout the course you will take ownership of your project work and learning, which will help develop your skills to be an effective designer, engineer or manager.
Please note that due to the practical nature of Product Design, students WILL BE considered on an individual basis where they can evidence high achievement at a practical level, even if they do not meet the academic requirements. It is worth discussing alternative entry options with a member of the Design and Technology Faculty.
