
This course gives an overview and insight into some of the techniques and tools used within Forensic Science. It also includes studying core sciences to underpin the specialist knowledge. You will study a range of units that may include genetics, forensic evidence collection and analysis, forensic fire investigation and chemistry.
• GCSE Combined science: Minimum of 5/5 • Separate GCSE science: Minimum of grade 5 in one of the separate sciences • Grade 4 in mathematics (minimum) ----------------------------------------------- ▪ Five GCSEs at 9-4 ▪ A maximum of two BTECs at merit or above
A combination of internal and external assessment is used to determine the final grade. This course is the equivalent to 1.5 A levels.
