
Students will study our changing awareness of crime, criminological theories, from crime scene to courtroom, as well as crime and punishment. Students will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and a critical understanding of both our legal system and crime. This course would suit students who wish to pursue a career within the field of law, or students who wish to gain a greater understanding of society.
Grade 5 in history, geography, RE or English (language or literature) ▪ Five GCSEs at 9-4 (English and mathematics grade 4) ▪ A maximum of two BTECs at merit can count
The course is 50% controlled assessment and 50% external exam.
