This course will suit students who are genuinely interested in performing, composing and listening to music of different eras and styles.
Students wishing to pursue an A Level programme must, in all but exceptional circumstances, have achieved 6 standard GCSE passes (grade 4-9), with a strong pass (grade 5 or higher) in at least 4. Students should also attain the subject-specific minimum grades in subjects relevant to those to be studied Grade 5 in Music at GCSE and/or ABRSM Grade 5 theory. Grade 4 in English Language. Students should be able to perform to at least grade 4 standard on their first study instrument, or voice.
