This course can be studied alongside History and involves an exploration of Ancient Greece and the Collapse of the Roman Republic. No prior knowledge of the Ancient World is required.
Students wishing to pursue an A Level programme must, in all but exceptional circumstances, have achieved 6 standard GCSE passes (grade 4-9), with a strong pass (grade 5 or higher) in at least 4. Students should also attain the subject-specific minimum grades in subjects relevant to those to be studied Grade 4 in English Language. In total, at least grade 5 in two literate subjects.
