This course gives students the opportunity to learn technical designing and manufacturing skills and understand market influences on product design.
Students wishing to pursue an A Level programme must, in all but exceptional circumstances, have achieved 6 standard GCSE passes (grade 4-9), with a strong pass (grade 5 or higher) in at least 4. Students should also attain the subject-specific minimum grades in subjects relevant to those to be studied Grade 5 in a design or art-based subject (preferred but not essential). Grade 4 in English Language. Grade 5 in Maths.
50% written examination/50% coursework
