Further Maths

Course summary

Although further maths is not an entry requirement for university courses, it gives a massive advantage for courses such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science. Physics, Engineering and other maths based courses. If you do Further Maths it will only give an advantage if you go on to achieve A/A*. Further Maths at SINE is offered in addition to Mathematics as a full A/AS subject. In further maths, students study additional pure mathematics topics, such as complex numbers, matrices, and proof; there is a strong emphasis on problem solving. All students must study; Mathematical argument, language and proof Mathematical problem solving Mathematical modelling Students should study any two of the following options; Mechanics Statistics Discrete mathematics
