Course summary
This course consists of: Paper 1: Creative Explorations in Reading and Writing 1 hour 45 minute examination 80 marks 50% of total GCSE grade Paper 2: Writers’ Viewpoints and Perspectives 1 hour 45 minute examination 80 marks 50% of total GCSE grade Non Exam Assessment: Spoken English One teacher assessed presentation, lasting around 3 minutes, followed by a questions and answers on the topic in question. This qualification can be carried forward from Year 11. Students will receive a separate grade for this Non Exam Assessment. The grade is separate from the GCSE qualification, and does not contribute to the overall GCSE English Language grade. For more information, please see the full prospectus.
