Course summary
Learning history helps you to understand the present by teaching you about the past. You will learn in depth about Tudor England and Nazi Germany, developing a number of important skills as you do so including: essay-writing, source analysis, research, critical thinking and evaluation.

Standard Entry Requirements – 5 good GCSE passes at grade 4 or above, including Maths and English. Successful history students will enjoy History and have performed well in it at GCSE. You will need to be good at expressing ideas in a clear and coherent manner, able to understand and interpret information from a variety of sources, present evidence for multiple sides of an argument and reach clear and well-reasoned conclusions.
