Course summary

This course involves the study of algebraic techniques to a high level. Students will learn to solve first and second order linear differential equations, consider ‘Maclaurin’ and ‘Taylor’ series expansions and explore the topic of polar coordinates. All in all, this course serves as an excellent basis for the serious mathematician who is considering a Mathematical or Engineering based course at university. This must be taken as a fourth A Level subject in addition to A Level Maths

Students will sit all examinations at the end of the course. Paper 1 Further Pure Mathematics Written examination 1 hour 30 Paper 2 Further Pure Mathematics Written examination 1 hour 30 Paper 3 Further Maths option 1 (1 hour 30) Paper 4 Further Maths option 2 (1 hour 30)
