Course summary

Why should I study it? If you are planning to study Maths or a Science related subject at university or if you would like continue to develop your mathematical skills beyond GCSE and A Level. In recent years, higher education institutions and employers have consistently flagged the need for students to develop a range of transferable skills to enable them to respond with confidence to the demands of undergraduate study and the world of work. A qualification in Maths and/or Further Maths will enable you to develop these cognitive, inter and intrapersonal skills. A-levels in Maths and Further Maths will open doors to a whole range of university courses and careers.These include careers in science, medicine, engineering, design, architecture, law, finance, accountancy and civil service.
