The Platform Way Platform Sports Coaching in partnership with Glenthorne High School is offering a fantastic opportunity for players post 16 to join our football academy and gain a total football education alongside their academic studies. The Academy The academy programme will be led by Nick Ford & Matt Dilger who are both UEFA B qualified coaches and offer a wealth of experience at different levels of the game. Having previously attended the school as a pupil Nick is absolutely delighted to be able to offer this programme to the pupils of GHS a programme which did not exist when he was a pupil there. The school has outstanding teaching and is the perfect establishment to host our elite academy programme. The Programme Players that join our academy will be exposed to an insight into a professional football environment with 6 hours of contact time across the week . The programme will offer high quality technical & tactical sessions, individual player programmes, 1 to 1 player reviews using clips, competitive calendar of fixtures in multiple competitions & provide a football education with potential exit routes. The Player The academy is open to any players that are attending GHS sixth form and the programme comes at no additional cost. Each player that joins the academy will be asked to purchase the Nike academy training kit. Every player that joins the academy will be expected to portray our academy values which encourage commitment, positivity, professionalism & supporting others.
