The Foundation Diploma forms part of our Esports Pathway and is equivalent to 1.5 A Levels. 6 units of which 4 are mandatory and 2 are external . • Unit 1 - Information Technology Systems • Unit 2 - Creating Systems to Manage Information • Unit 3 - Using Social Media in Business • Unit 4 - Programming • Unit 6 - Website Development One additional unit will be selected from the following: • Computer Games Development • Mobile Apps Development • Data Modelling The BTEC Nationals attract UCAS points.
A grade 4 or above in English or Maths is required, although in exceptional cases students who have not achieved a grade 4 will still be considered during interview to ascertain your commitment to this course. It would also be beneficial to have studied L2 IT or Computing previously but again if this is not the case, applications will be still be considered.
