Course summary

Physicists explore the fundamental nature of almost everything we know of. They probe the furthest reaches of the earth to study the smallest pieces of matter. Join them to enter a world deep beneath the surface of normal human experience. A-level Physics lasts two years, with exams at the end of the second year. A Level Physics can lead onto all sorts of fields of study or work. As well as the chance to study Physics at University, the subject will also help if you go on to study Mathematics or Chemistry after A-level. If apprenticeships are taken up then Physics is particularly useful within the field of Engineering. With Physics being such a highly regarded subject, the opportunities that open up with a good Physics grade extend beyond the mathematical sciences area.
