We aim for students to develop an enthusiasm, passion and genuine curiosity for Business. By examining small and large businesses, students develop a critical understanding of organizations and their ability to meet society's wants and needs. Whether students progress to study Business at Higher Education or not, they gain life skills and develop transferable employability skills. They will be able to understand current affairs with more clarity and confidence, as they have studied business behaviour from a range of stakeholder perspectives, but also examined the influence of the PESTLE factors, in an abundance of situations. This has allowed students to generate enterprising and creative approaches to business opportunities, problems and issues. Our young learners will be aware of the ethical dilemmas and responsibilities faced by organisations and individuals, as social trends, are prominent throughout Business. Overall, students acquire a range of relevant business and generic skills, including independence, decision making, problem solving, the challenging of assumptions and critical analysis.
Grade 5+ at GCSE if studied Business before. This is in addition to the general entry requirements.
