Course summary

Why do some people feel that they are not born the 'right' sex? Does the advertising of food products have any impact on how much or what we actually eat? Why might we not be very good eyewitnesses? Are young people addicted to using mobile phones? How do we explain and best treat any sort of addictions? A Level Psychology will help you to make sense of how the brain works and the impact that this has on our behaviour. You will learn a number of skills including the use of research evidence to support your arguments, to learn new facts about how the brain works and critical thinking. It is relevant to the society and culture you live in and to everyday life; plus it opens the door to a fantastic range of interesting careers.
