Further Maths is the gold standard, required, by many top universities for Mathematics, Science and Engineering courses, as well as Computer Science and Economics. It is studied alongside Mathematics at A Level. If you have a love of Mathematics, then Further Maths is the perfect match for you. You will develop your problem solving skills to a very high level and become fluent in the art of passing STEP and MAT exams. You will experience a range of Mathematics from Complex numbers to Polar Curves in Pure Maths moving onto Probability Generating Functions in Statistics and modelling Elastic Collisions in 2D Mechanics. Much of the Maths you will encounter is akin to 1st year degree mathematics. Many universities have a reduced entry requirement if Further Maths is one of the A Levels being studied.
