Assessment
The A Level course is assessed through two components. Component one (60% of total A Level) is a Personal Investigation digital portfolio of practical work responding to a personally set starting point/theme/scenario. Students also complete a written Related Study which complements any practical work. Component two is an Externally Set Task (40% of total A Level), which is issued by the exam board on 1st February. Students create a digital portfolio of development work before sitting a 15-hour (three day) exam in May in which a final response is created. All components are internally assessed and externally moderated.
