Course summary

Sociology is the systematic study of society and human behaviour. During the two years, students will look at different aspects of society in more detail, and question why society functions in the way that it does. Topics to be taught include Education, Family and Households, Crime and Deviance, Beliefs in Society and Research Methods. What next? This course will provide ideal preparation for students who are considering university and higher education. It will develop analytical and evaluative skills and help students to write essays that present evidence-based arguments logically and coherently.
