Unit 1 - Anatomy and Physiology   Unit 2 - Fitness, Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Well-Being Unit 3 - Professional Development in the Sports Industry Unit 6 - Sports Psychology Unit 7 - Practical Sports Performance This is a very engaging and exciting course. It is a full two-year BTEC course that is equivalent to one A-Level. This BTEC is the perfect blend of both theory and practical learning through our football academy. At the start of this course, you will be instilled with a good understanding of functional anatomy and applied psychology to form the basis of a solid foundation. This foundation will be nurtured and developed through many topics, including coaching, physical activity for individuals and groups, fitness, and many more.  This course will also give you the knowledge, understanding, and skills that underpin the study of Sport, providing you with additional breadth and depth to fully prepare you for further study or training. This course is suited to learners who wish to develop their knowledge in the sports industry. This qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop all-round performance skills and transferable skills such as self-confidence, self-presentation, personal discipline, time management and organisational skills - which are highly regarded by higher education opportunities and employers. The qualification carries UCAS points and is recognised by higher education providers as contributing to meeting admission requirements for many courses, if taken alongside other qualifications as part of a two-year programme of study.

How you'll be assessed

4 units, of which 3 are mandatory and 2 are external. Mandatory content (83%). External assessment (58%). Each assessment is taken under specified conditions, then marked by Pearson and a grade awarded. Learners are permitted to resit external assessments during their programme. Units are assessed using a grading scale of Distinction (D), Merit (M), Pass (P).
