Chemistry - A level

Course summary

This course is ideally suited to students who like problem solving and have been successful at GCSE chemistry. Ideally you will be very analytical in nature and enjoy practical investigations of chemical constructs. Students will often go on to study a wide variety of degrees from this strong foundation, including chemistry, engineering, medicine and biochemistry. During the A-level course, students will focus their learning on; practical chemistry; foundations in chemistry; the periodic table and organic chemistry. Students will then develop these inorganic themes to a deeper level as well as a more detailed focus on developing practical skills for investigations in chemistry
