
Course Description Animation is an exciting and and creative subject providing students with the opportunity to develop a combination of both artistic and creative components of animation with the required practical and technical skills. It will develop your visual storytelling, character development and editing skills. You will familiarise yourself with different styles and types of animation, developing your own style and creativity. Throughout the duration of the course you will study the animation production process and 2D and 3D software skills and learn key professional standard software, such as Adobe After Effects and Blender. You will learn about historical contexts and discover important industry techniques including rotoscoping and stop motion and you will explore modern examples from leading production houses such as Aardman, Studio Ghibli and Pixar.
