Course summary
This qualification allows you to get to grips with key aspects of running small businesses with a focus on enterprise and marketing. Course content Students will cover: Unit 1 - The Business Environment Mandatory Unit - externally assessed Business structures, purposes and strategies Effects of the external environment Unit 2 - Working in Business Mandatory Unit - externally assessed Learn about the skills needed to work effectively in a business environment. Unit 4 - Customers and communication Mandatory Unit - internally assessed Learn the purpose, methods and importance of communication in business and the appropriateness of different forms of communication for different situations. Unit 8 - Introduction to human resources Optional Unit - internally assessed Gain an overview of the HR function and learn about factors affecting human resources planning. Unit 11 - Accounting Concepts Optional Unit - internally assessed Gain essential skills in, and knowledge of, the purposes of accounting, and the accounting procedures used to produce final accounts.
