GCSE 6 or above in French. If you are a native speaker that hasn’t completed the GCSE, you will be accepted on the course providing you can pass a written assessment with GCSE 6 or above.
50% = Paper 1 – Listening, Reading and Writing including translation from French into English (100 marks) 20% = Paper 2 – Two essay either one based on a film or a set text or two essays on a set text. (80 marks) 30% = Paper 3 – Speaking which consists of an individual research project and discussion of a sub-theme with the discussion based on stimulus card (60 marks)
