The Course has two units The consolidation of the Tudor dynasty in England, 1485—1603 Revolution and Dictatorship: Russia and the Soviet Union, 1917—1953 There is also a Historical investigation into Civil rights in the USA 1865—1994.
Minimum of a grade 5 in English. If GCSE History taken – minimum of a grade 5.
Two exams, each exam worth 40% of the A Level. The Historical Investigation which will be a piece of extended writing (3000-3500 words) is worth 20%.
