The A Level has 2 exams at the end of the second year. Physical Geography 2 hours 30 minutes—40% of A Level, 120 marks (a mixture of multiple choice, short answer questions and extended prose levelled response answers.) Human Geography 2 hours 30 minutes— 40% of A Level, 120 marks ( a mixture of multiple choice, short answer questions and extended prose levelled response answers.) One piece of fieldwork (must attend 4 days of fieldwork 2 day of Human Geography, 2 days of Physical Geography) Geographical Fieldwork Investigation—20% of A level, 60 marks, 3,000-4,000 words—completed throughout the course.
