Course summary

Over the course of the A Level, you will study four units. Three of these will be assessed through exams in the summer of Year 13. The fourth is a coursework essay to be completed in Year 13. These are: British period study and enquiry - England 1445–1509: Lancastrians, Yorkists and Henry VII Non-British period study - Democracy and Dictatorships in Germany 1919–1963 Thematic study and interpretations – Rebellion and Disorder under the Tudors1485-1603 Independently researched essay (3000-4000 words) What it can lead to As a facilitating subject it can lead to careers in various fields such as journalism and the media, the civil service, government, education, the heritage sector, law, marketing, business finance and many more.
