Sports studies
Course summary
A BTEC National qualification in Sport enables students to learn about the theory behind sport in great depth. It gives them the opportunity to gain the experience required for use in the work place or as a stepping stone to higher education. The variety of the subject gives students the opportunity to study different areas, from anatomy and physiology to reflecting on their own practical sports performance. The Level 3 Sports courses are a natural progression for those students who have undertaken a BTEC First in Sport in Years 10 & 11 or GCSE PE. The course is a blend of theory and practical lessons.
