Course summary
The Mathematics courses have been developed to make the study of Mathematics post-GCSE accessible to a broad range of students with diverse career aspirations. The courses are designed to enable students to: • Further develop mathematical skills and their use in more challenging and sometimes less structured problems. • Develop logical reasoning skills. • Use Mathematics as an effective means of communication. • Recognise how situations can be represented mathematically and understand relations between ‘real world’ problems and mathematical models. • Develop an awareness of the relevance of Mathematics to other fields of study.
