Sport is a growing multi-billion pound industry with many diverse careers in Performance, Coaching and Leadership, Development and use of Science and the Media. This applied qualification will give learners the opportunity to study many of these areas at an advanced level in preparation for further education or the workplace. YEAR 12 Mandatory units include: • Anatomy and Physiology • Fitness training and programming for health, sport and well-being • Application of fitness training • Investigating business in Sport and the Leisure Industry YEAR 13 Mandatory units include: • Professional development in the Sports Industry • Sports leadership • Practical sports performance • Skill acquisition in sport Post 18 opportunities The course will prepare learners for further education at university. Students will finish the course with a solid foundation to take up work in the sport sector. Expenses Students are required to purchase text books.
