Entry requirements

5 or more GCSEs at grade 5 Studied Combined Science? Then a minimum of a Grade 6 for each Science GCSE (i.e. 66) AND a Grade 6 minimum for Mathematics. OR Studied Biology, Chemistry and Physics (Separate)? Then a Grade 6 minimum is required in Biology AND a Grade 6 minimum for Mathematics.

How you'll be assessed

AS Biology 2internalwritten examinations: • each of 90 minute duration; • each examination includes relevant practical skills. Success in these internal examinations determines the suitability to continue studying Biology in Year 13. A-level Biology 3 written examinations: • each of 2 hour duration; • each examination includes relevant practical skills; • one examination includes a large extended writing component.
