Health and Social Care examines the 3 work sectors of health care, social care and early year’s education. It is designed to give candidates an insight into working in these sectors. The BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Health and Social Care offers greater flexibility and a choice of emphasis through the optional units. It is equivalent to two GCE A Levels. What do we study? - You do not need to have taken health and social care before at GCSE - Have achieved 5 GCSEs grades 7-5 including a grade 5 or higher in English at GCSE
You will cover 8 units. Five of the units are controlled assessments and three of the units are external exams. External assessment is worth 46% of the total course.
