Practical skills and techniques will also be tested in the written examinations at the end of the course.

AS Chemistry 2 written examinations: • each paper of 1 hour 30 minutes duration; These are made up of multiple-choice, short and long answer questions. Theory and practical skills are assessed here. A-level Chemistry 3 written examinations: • Papers 1 and 2 are hours long and are comprised of short and long answer questions. Specified topics and relevant practical skills will be tested. • Paper 3 is 2 hours long and consists of multiple-choice, short and long answer questions. All aspects of the A level specification will be tested, including practical skills and data analysis.
