
You will study three main areas; Organic Chemistry: the study of the compounds of carbon. These compounds are used to make a vast range of useful products – plastics, fuels, pharmaceuticals, food and all living things. Physical Chemistry: the “hows and whys” of chemistry. The study of reactions as a whole and how they behave, Inorganic Chemistry: the Chemistry of all the other elements in the periodic table, their reactions and the compounds that they form.
English Grade - 5 Mathematics Grade - 6 Minimum of a Grade 6 in Chemistry and a Grade 6 in one other Science or a 6/6 in Combined Science
Students will be assessed through a number of exams which will completed at the end of their final academic year. These will include all topics which are learnt over the two years and will be marked externally.
