
Throughout A Level Drama the course pupils will practically study the work of recognised theatre practitioners and create their own body of work. As well as presenting and performing a text to an audience. Students will also prepare for two written examinations which cover three performance texts, and an analysis of a live theatre production. Our vision is that Drama will have an impact on the growth of social skills and creativity of pupils, igniting a passion for expression, and that pupils will regard Drama as an enjoyable, positive and inclusive subject. We provide a wide range of extra-curricular visits and opportunities which are aimed to increase students’’ love and passion for theatre.
Minimum 30 TPS plus English Language grade 5 and Mathematics grade 4 or better. Grade 5 or better in GCSE Drama.
40% written examination; 60% coursework
