
The OCR A Level in Physical Education develops knowledge, understanding and skills relevant to physical education. Students gain an understanding of the scientific and socio-cultural factors that underpin physical activity, and demonstrate their ability as either performer or coach. While there is a practical component to the course, Physical Education is an academic subject, and combines well with Sciences, Psychology and Sociology but also compliments History, Maths and the Arts.
Minimum 33 TPS plus English Language and Mathematics grade 5. Grade 5 or better in GCSE Physical Education.
70% written examination; 30% coursework
