In a level Business you will learn everything there is to know about the business world in a high work ethic environment, where you get the chance to work both independently and as a team. There is a strong focus on contemporary business examples in lessons, such as Starbucks, Uber and Amazon, you will analyse a range of topics from localisation to innovation. Studying Business will give you key skills and knowledge that are extremely sought after by employers, universities, Apprenticeships, or even when starting your own business.
As a minimum, you will need (or equivalent to); GCSE Mathematics grade 4 GCSE English Language or Literature grade 4 Plus three more GCSEs at grade 4.
There are three exams, each two hours in length. Paper 1 consists of multiple choice, short answer questions/calculations and two extended essay questions Paper 2 consists of data response/case study questions made up of short answers and essays Paper 3 consists of six essay questions based around an case study.
