Course summary

By choosing Psychology you will be exposed to the fascinating world of human behaviour and the science behind our minds. This course covers an exciting range of topics from the biology of our brains to understanding complex conditions such as schizophrenia. It also has the perfect combination of scientific content, with essay-based exams. You will get the chance to plan your own research, preparing you for further opportunities beyond college such as studying Psychology or going down the many other career pathways that this course prepares you for.

Entry requirements

As a minimum, you will need (or equivalent to); GCSE Mathematics grade 4 GCSE English Language or Literature grade 4 a GCSE in one of the core Sciences at grade 5 Plus two more GCSEs at grade 4.

How you'll be assessed

There are three exams, each one is two hours in duration. They consist of a range of question types including essay, extended writing, application, multiple choice and designing a study.
