
In this subject, there is so much to get your teeth into. In ‘Philosophy of Religion’ we think about the relationship between thinking and believing. ‘Religion and Ethics’ on the other hand, involves considering how we make moral decisions in the light of what we see in the world. In ‘Developments in the Buddhist Thought’ we learn about how Buddhism approaches the question of how we can learn to heal ourselves from the suffering that life inevitably involves. We use a range of learning opportunities - reading, talking, writing, guest speakers and taking local and metropolitan trips.
As a minimum, you will need (or equivalent to); GCSE Mathematics grade 4 GCSE English Language or Literature grade 4 plus three more GCSEs at grade 4.
There are three, 2-hour examinations. Each exam requires you to write three essays from a choice of four questions.
