If you are after a really practical subject that gives you real-life experience in the music industry, this is the one! You will have opportunities to perform with different bands or as solo artists in venues around teh area and enjoy lectures from people in the industry like Session Musicians, Band managers, agents and Studio engineers. Most excitingly you will learn to produce and market your own music and record it in our amazing studio facilities. You will learn new song writing techniques and everything you need to be successful in the industry.
As a minimum, you will need (or equivalent to); GCSE Mathematics grade 4 GCSE English Language or Literature grade 4 plus three more GCSEs at grade 4 You will also need to have musical ability (ability to play an instrument/sing) and some experience using music software
There are regular formal assessments in the form of recordings, compositions, sequences, presentations, and creative written work.
