Course summary

In RS Philosophy and Ethics we aim to enrich and help young people to fulfil their potential by thinking deeply and critically. In order to cultivate and improve subject knowledge of new areas of the specifications in Philosophy, ethics and theology, as well as to enhance knowledge of demands of the A level specification, the RS department organises an annual trip to the Vardy conference. The conference deals with the philosophical issues that we study in the A level and arise in the exam. Students that are passionate about the subject will love this course exploring big questions in the Philosophy of Religion and Ethics while studying renowned academics such as Dr Peter Vardy and Dr David Webster. Through lectures, debate and classwork you will have the chance to consider wisdom and ideas from different religions and contemporary world views.
