Health and Social Care is a multi-faceted course, dealing with various elements of Health and Social Care provision, from research to the creation of treatment plans for health care users. This diversity provides a great foundation of knowledge on which to build your further learning whether you enter the health and/or social care profession or not. This course provides you with the opportunity to hone skills needed for university and later life, such as research, presentations and report writing. You will learn about the ethics of care from the youngest child to the elderly, how we develop and what factors can affect our development, how our mental health can influence our development and the theories that we can use to help clients access the help that they need. With a range of different units there is always something to interest everyone. Some of the courses our Children’s Play, Learning and Development and / or Health and Social Care students go on to study at university are Paediatric Nursing, Social Care, Childhood Studies, Psychology and Law. Qualifications in our courses make our students attractive applicants for universities.
