
Environmental Science is a very versatile course that has good cross over with over science subjects. It explores all aspects of the natural world providing answers and explanations to many of the worlds environmental problems. There are a wide range of teaching approaches used including classroom-based learning and also practical investigations and interesting field trips. This subject can really change your perspective on the world and provides a good base of knowledge and skills for a variety of career paths.
As a minimum, you will need (or equivalent to); GCSE Mathematics grade 4 GCSE English Language or Literature grade 4 plus three more GCSEs at grade 4. It is strongly recommended you; have a GCSE Mathematics grade 5 or above have a GCSE Science grade 5 or above consider combining this course with another Science or Earth Science A Level.
There are two written exams, each three hours in duration. Around 15% of all exam questions are based on practical skills and 10% of exam questions have a mathematical component.
