Course summary
This popular course provides students with a fantastic opportunity to explore Textiles, with either a ‘fashion’ or ‘interiors’ focus,working with a myriad of techniques, which range from traditional to cutting edge. Through new and emerging technologies students explore fabric manipulation, machine embroidery, printing, beadwork, felting, fabric construction and CAD/CAM. We have many links with industry, a range of visiting practitioners and opportunities to explore the many cultural links the city has to offer in their visual research. Our Alumni have gone on to further their education at leading universities; such as University of the Arts London, London College of Fashion and Central St Martins; to study diverse courses ranging from Fashion Design, Fashion styling, Costume design and Architecture.

At least 5 level 9-4 grades at GCSE including level 4 in Design and Technology, Art or Photography. In some level 4 cases, work may be reviewed by the staff for suitability to the A-Level course.
