In Drama, there is always lots happening! Our Drama teachers are passionate about theatre and performing, so we love helping students develop their performances. We are lucky enough to have two Performing Arts technicians who also come and teach or support in some of our more technical lessons so that students receive a full range of expertise. This is especially fun when it comes to lighting and working out how students choose to light their performances. The highlight of the year is our whole school show which alternates between a straight drama piece and a musical, so all students can get involved in at least one, depending on what type of performance they enjoy best. Over the last couple of years we have developed our contemporary knowledge through our love of immersive theatre, such as Punchdrunk Theatre Company. We make sure we take our 6th Form students to as much theatre as we can - about once every half term and sometimes more. There are also incredible facilities for Performing Arts - three fully equipped drama studios used for all lessons, as well as a drama hall with raked seating and an adaptable main hall.
At least 5 level 9-4 grades at GCSE with English Language and any Arts subject at Level 4 or above.
