Course summary

Chemistry is an exciting, challenging and sought after A-level. As a theoretical subject it will test your problem solving, mathematical and written skills as well as your in-depth subject knowledge. In completing thepracticals you will be required to prove your ability to analyse and evaluate. This range of skills is why Chemistry is so highly regarded by both Oxbridge and Russell group universities, for application to any degree. Furthermore, this is what makes chemistry such an exciting subject to study, each topic brings something new to discover and a new challenge to overcome. Chemistry is required for those applying to study, medicine, biochemistry, pharmacy, dentistry, veterinary science and many more. It is also a suggested subject for many other degrees. As a Chemistry department we have supported students through successful applications to many of these courses at Russell Group universities and otherwise.
